The federal
government, to facilitate the protection of non-public personal
information that may be accumulated on individuals by financial
institutions, specifically including insurance agents, has enacted the
GRAMM, LEACH, BLILEY ACT. In essence, it requires that all individuals
on whom personal financial data is collected be notified at the time of
policy inception, and annually thereafter, as to the type of data
collected, its use and the measures in place to protect the individual’s
privacy. We have developed the following notice (BITHER 2001) to provide
you with the required information:

insurance transaction with us, you have provided personal information
about yourself, some of which may be nonpublic in nature. We have a high
regardfor the privacy of our potential, current and former clients and
want you to know how we handle your personal information. The following
contains a description of the types of information we collect about you,
and how that information is used and protected. This privacy statement
describes our privacy practices.

receive from you on your application for insurance and other forms
related to your insurance with us.

receive from governmental agencies, which may include motor vehicle
reports, claim reports and driving records.

we collect about you, including the nonpublic personal information, only
for the purposes of effecting, administering, enforcing and servicing
your insurance with us. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal
information about you to any affiliated or non-affiliated third parties,
except as provided by law. We do not sell or otherwise share your
information with anyone for marketing.
• Protection of Your
Information
We restrict access to
the nonpublic information about you to our employees, insurance
companies, and third parties who need this information to provide our
products and services to you.
